ICONIC NEON PRESENT DAY

The first segment highlights Paschke's color patterns and techniques used in the late 1980s in what we casually call his "iconic degradation" era. This era included several paintings of iconic figures such as Elvis Presley, Abraham Lincoln and Adolph Hitler. This time period in Paschke's work is characterized by clean "wipes" of translucent colors that resemble colors applied as if on broken glass or ripped paper. Subjects are instantly recognizable with facial elements highly defined.
